The ÎÞÂëרÇø College of Public Health’s (COPH) Vapes on Campus (VOC) project has been named the Tobacco Free Partnership of Broward County’s Member Champion of the Year– Smoke-Free Initiatives, recognizing the team’s statewide impact on vaping and nicotine prevention among college students. The award was presented Sept. 18 in Fort Lauderdale.

Most people would need a week to do what Wathington does in a day as she collaborates across various fields on the challenges facing health care in our communities. An affiliate professor of community and family health in ÎÞÂëרÇøâ€™s College of Public Health (COPH), she formerly served as associate dean for academic and student affairs as well as associate dean for academic enrichment at ÎÞÂëרÇøâ€™s Morsani College of Medicine.

Jesse Casanova receives ÎÞÂëרÇø Health Culture Coin for exemplary leadership during international delegation

Doctoral student Jesse Casanova was recognized with a Culture Coin for his exceptional coordination of a multi-sector delegation to Japan. His leadership resulted in new partnerships with six Japanese institutions, including agreements with Tokyo Women's Medical University and renewed collaboration with Gifu University.
